Bio

A resident of Los Angeles for most of her adult life, Marjorie and her husband Robert live in Westwood and are the parents of four children and four grandchildren.   Some of their offspring are local, while one daughter lives Detroit and another in Boston.  Marjorie and Bob are longtime members of Stephen Wise and their children attended Stephen Wise religious schools and Camp Hess Kramer.

The daughter of an Air Force officer, Marjorie lived in many outposts in both Europe and the US during her formative years.  Marjie is a graduate of Penn State University, where she received her BA in Journalism.  She worked for many years in department store retailing, where she was a research and site location executive.

A longtime community volunteer, she has served on the boards of many local and national non profits, as well as serving in leaderships roles in the capital campaigns of several schools and universities she or members of her family attended.  She is passionate about causes that celebrate and strengthen issues of Jewish identity.  Marjorie’s involvement with BJE came as a direct result of her life changing participation in the first adult Los Angeles March of the Living program in 2012.

In addition to enjoying time with her family and friends, her most favorite pastimes include hiking, travel and entertaining.
