“Celebrating Joy and Possibilities”
Dear Colleagues,
I am thrilled to invite you to register for our 44th annual Bebe Feuerstein Simon Early Childhood Institute this year hosted at our new site, Valley Beth Shalom (15739 Ventura Blvd. Encino, CA 91436). We are excited to welcome Jonathan Schmidt Chapman to lead us in a keynote inspiration to start our day followed by three workshops from our esteemed presenters. Once again this year, participants will have the opportunity to choose the workshops that feel most relevant and inspiring to them on the day of the conference.
We are excited to offer high quality, innovative workshops from presenters, coming locally and from across the country, including Rabbi Dr. Meir Muller, Rabbi Rebecca Schatz, Lindsay Astor Grant, Dr. Sharon Bacharach, Kira Rappaport, Kody Harms and Charles Gageby, Natalie Maddison, and many more. The full list of conference presenters and workshop is available on our conference website BJELA.org/BJEInstitute where you will find all of the workshop descriptions, along with the full conference schedule and speaker bios. Please note that more workshop descriptions and speakers will be added in the coming weeks.
This year we will also be offering a special Infant/Toddler Track for educators that work with children 0-24 months old, including Parent and Me educators. Participants will need to indicate on their registration that they would like to register for this special track and on the day of the conference, they will attend assigned workshops during the first two blocks. The third workshop block will be open for them to choose from one of our other workshop offerings.
We would like to offer a special thank you to our host, Valley Beth Shalom ECC. We also want to thank the Early Childhood Directors’ Network President, Alisha Sela, and Vice President, Lisa Whitman, and the Institute Planning Committee: Angie Bass, Randee Bishoff, Chana Blugrind, Claudine Douglas, Avital Etehad, Renee Hutchings, Alana Levitt, Abby Mars, Robin Masnicoff, Ray Sherman, Valerie Segall, and Tatiana Zaidman for providing guidance, input and direction in shaping and planning this special day.
Warmly,
Carly Rosenstein
