Ray Sherman

Ray Sherman was the Director of Early Childhood Education at Chicago’s Jewish Council for Youth Services at the Wicker Park Center for the last five years, after two years as Assistant Director. She earned her undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Life from the University of Kansas and finished her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education Leadership and Advocacy at the Erikson Institute in 2021. llinois, Ray taught children spanning from six weeks to six years old for 14 years, and was instrumental in opening the infant-toddler class. The Reggio Emilia approach informs her work daily, and she was fortunate to attend a study tour to Reggio Emilia, Italy in 2017. Ray moved this Summer to LA to become the Head of Schools for the Mann and Resnick ECCs of Wilshire Boulevard Temple.  Ray brings her firm belief and passion for lifelong learning to our community and is committed to fostering a culture of curiosity among children, educators, and families.
