Tali Soffer
Tali Soffer is an atelierista at Valley Beth Shalom ECC. She has over two decades of experience both in the classroom and the art studio. Being a studio facilitator, working in the studio with children and materials, is what brings joy into her life. Ever since she can remember, she was interested in and was fascinated by the creative processes of children. Being aware of how children dialogue with materials, think and reflect with one another has been a huge part of how she approaches her work. Tali is an active member of a CLT group, a Collaborative Learning Team of educators that meets on a regular basis to support the staff of Valley Beth Shalom. Her approach in the studio is nurtured by The Slow Down Movement to education and seeing art as an experience. She draws her influence from the schools and educators of the Reggio Emilia schools where she attended a study tour in 2015. Being born and raised in a multicultural society in Isreal for half of her life nurtured her Jewish and family values and her appreciation for nature. Tali is a mother of three and a savta to two wonderful grandkids with a great sense of humor.
